I have saved this image for quite some time, and believe I have shared it with you. It’s the home of my dreams…one where indoors and outdoors merge, and provide safety from the storm outside your door. That’s what interior design is for me; a sister to the architecture and landscape…one supports the other.
Nature inspired, slightly masculine interiors with simple lines are what I love personally…not to say I can’t create different styles for my clients, but IF I had to chose- this defines me.
I think this space works because of the continuity of overhead and flooring materials, from indoors to out, but also because of the seamless retractable glazing. It is, in my opinion, not over-designed. I can imagine hanging out on a Sunday, listening to CBC radio, and drinking liquorice spice tea…a great place to be alone.
This home would be perched over black rocks and the crashing ocean in Ucluelet, where the fog is thick , and you are aware of your scale.
I love it.

beautiful....
It's you, I love it!!! Love that image! This is so much fun to see what everyone style is!
I have to say that it will be challenging for me "when" I'll come to visit you in your new house! and you must know I don't like licorice spice tea. You really think out of the box (and you surprised me with this images)
Very cool, Michelle! Hope you have a great wknd!
Beautiful...I love the idea of where the inside and the outside blur and merge. Particularly beautiful at the sea!
I have also admired this house and it would be perfect for you in Ucluelet. I hope you get the house of your dreams there.
