View with a Room

wc dining room

wc dining room 2

A room with an amazing view and floor to ceiling windows is a dream of mine..and this one was a lesson in proportion and restraint. With the family dog taking his chances!

Which rendering appeals to you the most? My intention was to insert a view, and wasn’t as happy with it as I thought; sometimes a simple line and a bump can give the gesture of landscape, and not become the focal point. Not that I would complain about this view!

I like having the view but I don't think the styles quite match, inside to outside that is. I wouldn't know how to do that. But if you don't show the view the room isn't very realistic. Show us a bump?

I agree with Terry, I believe something in between the two sketches will be great, no view in the first makes it too white/empty, too much details in the second don't go with the drawing. Waiting for next...

Designers perhaps look at things differently. I really looked at the furniture and the quality of the beautiful drawing. But maybe Albarosa is right something in between, maybe clients would see better that way.

I didnt even notice the difference until you pointed it out. I was busy checking out the monogram chairs! However, I will say I was expecting a city view and was surprised to see the landscape but I do prefer something outside the windows. You are so talented!!

Diane...I agree...I designed the room with an ocean view in mind, but it turns out, it could be more at home in the city...

Thanks Terry, Albarosa and Tareq!!

I love everything about the dining room -- the furniture, the beautiful blue seat back covers and curtains, the ceiling.... fabulous!!

I think if the view through the window was just the clouds in the sky, it would be perfect. Then each person could interpret the view as they want -- it could be a city view, ocean view, mountain view...

Once again I rest gobsmacked!... Another brilliant rendering!
May I suggest passing the background photo through FotoSketcher (http://www.fotosketcher.com/)to bring it in line with the render? I find the possibilities of this simple and free software amazing, and it saves you so much time when in a hurry :-)

Loved the view. I think it would be helpful especially for a client deciding on windows with or without muntins. Gorgeous work!
