I could spot a beauty in the rough as we drove by the Salvation Army store on Granville. My husband is so sweet…he didn’t say a thing…just waited for me to purchase these for 5 bucks each. I re-upholstered them in an old linen bed cover after a good paint job and cleaning.

I like the chairs in both fabrics. I'm guessing some major crud issues on the old fabric?.
Great lines on those chairs. And they look so much more sophisticated now. Good eye!
OMG, you've got to be kidding me! $5?!?! What a find you lucky thing!
Wow great score! How did you paint them and what kind of paint did you use?
I used the new Aura paint by BM Dale..in an eggshell finish. It cures really fast, and I didn't need primer...only two coats!
What a prize, Michelle... they look fantastic!!

Ok...I want to run out to the nearest Salvation Army store now. You're a girl after my own heart. I own a store in a small town in Colorado and someone just came in the other day and observed that I must like nature. Which I do., as I just read that you do as well. Altho, I just happened by, I would like to invite you to participate in my GiveAway contest. Check it out, if you have time. best, -susan
what a difference Michelle
Now show us where will you put them and with what.
They're beautiful, Michelle, very classy!
Michelle,
What a great "eye" you have! I once was out biking and saw a great table on the street I was going to go back and get. When I did get back in the car, it was gone! Someone else had the same eye!
Blessings...
xx
They look beautiful - great job! I need to visit thrift shops more often because you never know what diamond in the rough will be awaiting you!
Beautiful!! Great deal and great job.
Salvation Army, garage sales, flea markets...love them all.
When you have an "eye" you can find treasures.
Congratulations on your beautiful chairs reborn with style.
