A Readers Rendering

Scott from Virginia contacted me some time ago. He is working on his Master’s Degree in ID, and liked my rendering style enough to use this one for an assignment.  Scott’s rendering is the large one, from my Rendering 101 lesson (the second one)…I think Scott’s is much better!! Nice job!!

Michelle,

Here is an idea... You need to write a book - "Rendering for Dummies" or a better title :) Just a thought.

Super. You are safe from me. Show the techniques won't make me an artist but makes me appreciate it even more.

Gee Michelle, I wouldn't say Scott's is better - both renderings impress me! Thank goodness artists add their own unique spin otherwise the world would be full of images that all looked the same. Plus, I agree with the others, time for the book...

I think Scott's done a great job with the rendering-his style is distinct and I'm sure it will evolve down the road!
I must say I also belong to those who have been inspired by Michelle's renderings-who wouldn't be! Michelle, you and your rendering techniques have been the force that drove me back to the drawing board, if not always with stunning results! I know time is never enough, but it would be brilliant if you could set up a rendering class here on your blog, where you could "assign" a rendering project and have us try our hand at it. I'd be more than glad to publish my humble efforts and receive constructive criticism from you and your readers. Just a suggestion!

Had to pipe in... I'd love a blog-class in "Rendering 101", Michelle!
And while I'm piping = I'm all about orange and so, while I think Scott's blue version of your rendering is fantastic, I prefer yours ;-)
