Yes, it is a schematic life for sure. I appeared on Breakfast Television on Thursday, May 8th. I was talking about outdoor rooms. It went very well. I guess I hadn't thought of how I could have blown it...luckily I was busy enough to air time that I didn't even think about getting nervous. I guess the first few seconds were a little surreal...but everyone at BT including Simi made me feel very comfortable.
My husband was a sherpa and a saint. He moved that woodpile more that five times. The best news is that I have been invited back to BT in a few months...they even said they could have gotten two six minute segments out of what I had...the hardwork seems worth it now.
The spaces were explained on set as "Out of Africa", and "Arabian Nights" by Dave and the producer, Bruce. Rosario, the guest relations person was wonderful, and the girls in the control booth came out to chat design after the segment...obviously design saavy themselves.
I passed out some postcards and business cards, loaded the truck and headed home. I slept for about 18 hours. LOL. All my friends in Ucluelet saw the segment, and called to congratulate me, letting me know I didn't screw up...that's good :)
My mom and sister sent me a beautiful bouquet of white flowers, and I received lots of messages and phone calls...what fun!
