I dream of an outdoor entertaining space, where the curtains move with the breezes, with great layered lighting, and lots of room for friends around a large table with comfortable chairs.
Hi, i dont think ive ever commented on your stuff but i started following your blog awhile ago, im a design stuff at the art institute of seattle but i just love your renderings, it really inspires me! prismacolor is your choice??
Welcome Modern Hippie!! Love your name! I can so relate to it.
Yes, I use prismacolour, but they are getting tough to find now, so I have been using Touch,Copic,Staedtler mars grapic duo (it's a paint pen), and Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens. I have also discovered archival rag paper by Bienfang, and love it because it doesn't bleed, and you can play with colour, without the paper falling apart.
Congrats on your education! How is your program at AI?
Spring is really bringing out a lot of outdoors-inspired posts :-) This is such a great time of the year, with a whole wonderful summer to look forward to :-)
yeah i just bought a big set of prisma of like 200 pens and then when a few run out i just buy singles which we have at school, for a huge markup, haha. but i live downtown seattle so there are alot of art stores.
the program at Ai is great, its definitley worth all the money! :) alot of the professors are full-time designers and architects so we get the "inside scoop" :)
Be still my beating heart!!! This pavilion is so amazing. What a great rendering. You have captured the essence of an outdoor pavilion. Now all we need is a warmer climate.
Michelle This is just AMAZING If I am having dinner in it I wont go home, asuming its not in my home :) I used to put out loads of stuff in the garden to make it like an outdoor real living room. Maybe I should doing that again!!
I so look forward to reading your comments!! Like many bloggers, from time to time I receive nasty comments from those hiding behind the anonymous curtain which I delete immediately.
Love the rendering. We're planning one of these for our yard right now.

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous rendering. The colours, the sky, the flowers, the style. It is better than an excellent photograph and it requires much more talent.
